Mosaic is one of the oldest techniques of painting where images or patterns are formed from small pieces of different materials like glass pieces, stones or ceramic pieces refer to as tesserae. These pieces are then packed and sorted neatly to form small patterns whereby the patterns range from geometrical patterns right up to detailed pictures of people, animals and even landscapes.  The concept of mosaic art involves texture, color, and longevity, thus it is typically applied to surfaces of walls and floors for more beauty and usefulness in buildings’ constructions and home designing. It remains relevant even today, creating its demand among todays artists and giving them an opportunity to combine craftsmanship and postmodernism.
