The Street (also known as The Yellow House or The Yellow House in Dutch) is an 1888 oil painting by Dutch Post-Impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh. Van Gogh hired four rooms in the right wing of the home at 2 Place Lamartine in Arles, France, on May 1, 1888. He occupied two substantial ones on the first floor that faced Place Lamartine and two smaller ones on the first floor that served as an atelier (workshop) and kitchen.
